Expand. Excel. Exceed.
The Tennessee Government Executive Institute (TGEI) prepares state government leaders for public service and stewardship. The program builds partnerships among the departments of state government and increases the leadership, knowledge and skill of state leaders.
TGEI offers instruction on several leadership topics chosen specifically for state government executives. Senior-level managers receive an opportunity to broaden their perspectives of executive responsibility through study, analysis and discussion.
State government leaders are selected to participate in this distinguished program through a competitive process. Each student has broad administrative, supervisory, managerial and fiscal responsibility. During our two weeks together, participants learn about each other in ways that foster communication and collaboration among state agencies. Our networking events, both during and after the program, create camaraderie between participants.
We’ve led this program for approximately three decades. TGEI alumni are leaders who are ready to face new opportunities that arise from challenges. They make a difference in the lives of Tennesseans.
