Tennessee Government Professionals Institute
In February 2022 the Tennessee Government Professionals Institute was launched. Sixty exemplary subject matter expert employees served as the Inaugural class for the program. Participants shared in a rigorous two-week program that includes specific leadership competencies to foster an environment of excellence.
The Naifeh Center for Effective Leadership continues its long-standing partnership with the Tennessee Department of Human Resources. This institute (TGPI) is for high-performing employees who may not be at the managerial or executive level but want to build upon their professional skills. Facilitators come from across the state (and sometimes from other states) to share their expertise. As a bonus, each participant is able to learn from the experiences of other subject matter experts in similar positions.
