Requirements

I. Complete 300 hours of CPM Program study:

A. 60 Hours of Pre- and Co-requisite Course Work: (SkillSoft Designated Modules)

  1.  SkillSoft Interaction Management or IM (7 designated modules for a total of 60 hours) OR CPM-approved agency/university equivalent to be scheduled or completed prior to finishing the first six months of CPM Program participation

B. At least 200 Hours of CPM Course Work over a 18-month period:

  1. Management Development Planning (MDP)

    Module 1: 32 classroom hours + 18 hours of pre/post class assignments such as In-Basket case preparation, online SkillSoft courses, 1:1 faculty coaching, Live OnLine sessions, Blackboard Discussion Board entries, Growth & Learning Plan.

    TOTAL: 50 Hours

  2. Managing Daily Operations (MDO)

    Module 2: 32 classroom hours + 18 hours of pre/post class assignments including individual/organizational assessments, online SkillSoft courses, Live Online sessions, Blackboard Discussion Board entries, CPM Capstone Project proposal.

    TOTAL: 50 Hours

  3. Collaboration Across Management Levels (CAML)

    Module 3: 32 classroom hours + 18 hours of pre/post class assignments including written exercises, online SkillSoft courses, Live OnLine sessions/presentations, Blackboard Discussion Board entries, interaction journaling, and CPM project team analysis and initial data sharing.

    TOTAL: 50 Hours

  4. Strategic Leadership (SL)

    Module: 32 classroom hours + 18 hours pre/post class assignments including individual/organizational assessments, online SkillSoft courses, Live OnLine sessions, Blackboard Discussion Board entries, and CPM data review and final paper.

II. Capstone Project TOTAL HOURS: 40 hours

Each participant will be required to complete a capstone project by the end of his/her CPM Program. CPM project requirements will be thoroughly reviewed throughout each module's classroom session; detailed written project guidelines supported by a OneNote framework notebook will be provided at with the first module. Thereafter, each successive module workshop will provide additional development, direction and feedback.

The purposes of the project are to allow participants to:

(a) hone skill sets identified in their Growth and Learning Plans and

(b) demonstrate effective application of CPM Program competencies by improving service delivery in their sponsoring organizations.

The CPM capstone project requires each participant to lead a problem solving and/or process improvement team to conduct data-driven analysis of a service delivery challenge within his/her work environment. Baseline measures of service quality dimensions must be gathered and analyzed. A service improvement action plan will be developed and implementation initiated by the participant.

Each participant will be assigned a CPM faculty member as his/her project coach. Insert Coach(s) Name(s) understand there will be three domain areas (East, Middle and Western Tennessee with POC at each ~). Documentation will be contained within an OneNote notebook. At a minimum, the notebook contents will include an initial proposal, project background and analysis, statement of the problem, implementation plan and final paper.

The progressive notebook will be submitted at designated times over an 6-month period for review by the CPM project coach. The CPM project will be assessed by program faculty, the CPM project team and agency personnel.
